The bagua map is designed to help you in the placement of objects that will enhance areas of your life. For example, your home has a Wealth area, as does every room in your home. By placing objects and colors in an area, you are activating that area. This bagua map shows you the colors that activate each area and the areas that have an element and a shape. For example, the color for Fame is Red, the Element is Fire. The color for Creativity is White, and the Element is Fire. You can see that the Romance area in between is a mix of those two areas, so the color is Pink.

Decorating With The Five Elements
When decorating any room in your home, use the five elements for balance. For example, the most auspicious balance of the elements would be to have something from the water, wood, fire, earth and metal elements in every room - but not to have one element overpower the other elements. You can use the bagua map below to substitute colors for an element. For example, if you don’t have a water element in a room, you can check the bagua map. The element for the career area is water, and the color is black. Substitute the color black for the water element. Also, be aware of the balance of the elements. Having too much of one element disturbs the balance, and by using the generative and destructive cycles below, you can add an element to accent or decrease the impact that an overabundance of one element might have in a room.
