The Five Elements
Water
Wood
Water feeds woodWood feeds fireFire becomes earthEarth produces metalMetal Holds Water
Water puts out fireFire melts metalMetal cuts woodWood clogs the earthEarth muddies water
To use the generative cycle, you can use the element before and after the main element you are bringing into a room. For example, when looking for decorating accents for wood, add a water or fire (red) element.
To use the destructive cycle, add the opposing element when you have too much of one element. For example, if you have too much wood, add something from the metal element to “cut down” the wood.
